Almost 90 years old, and going strong...

The history of ISB Community Bank

April 11, 1917... The first meeting was held to organize a new bank with $10,000 of capital, by a group of businessmen in the Ixonia area. The bank would be called Ixonia State Bank.

The first building was built in 1918, on a lot purchased for $300, not far from where the Ixonia branch is now located. In 1954, the bank bought the land where our Ixonia office now sits, for $3,000, and built a new building in 1955 - which officially opened for business on January 1, 1956.

Since that time, we've grown considerably, and now have a total of six area branches: our Corporate Office in Ixonia, two branches each in Oconomowoc and Watertown, and one in Dousman.

On January 1, 2003, we officially changed our name to "ISB Community Bank," to more accurately reflect our growing market coverage, and community focus.

We are proud to remain a locally owned and operated bank, and look forward to helping you with your financial needs for many years to come.
